Without your help this blog wouldnt be entertaining or informative. Thank you for your help and commitment. Soon we will be able to hold forums on this blog to discuss policy. We are a ways away from that but are always open for the addition of new ideas. Spark a new area of conversation or enter a new area of debate with the administrators We are always ready to tackle the tough issues to reach a majority consensus through diplomatic avenues. Then we can throw a party

The BLANKSLATE is going International
Roman and Jason will be heading to Israel on April 17th to start collecting donations for TheBLANKSLATE.org. The incorporation process should be complete within 4 weeks and the mission to spread Peace, Creation and Sustainability througout the world will begin in earnest. Look out for updates, the website and a date for our first event in New York City!

Deep Thoughts
Just a little thought about the possibility of a company that outsources activism...For instance, underprivelaged workers of a certain can come to us to work for them in getting better working conditions, better pay, and benefits. In return we can get their membership for our organization and get them to volunteer at our activities. Any thought's? This is a really quick sketch about an idea that I had after hearing someone complain about their working conditions at one of my job's. I wonder what you guys think?

Yesterday I met with Roman for some breakfast at the Ukrainian cafe around the corner from where he lives. We were talking about things and and mostly I was talking about how the minds eye sees things much bigger than the two little beety things on our head do. The mind's eye is what sees things larger and in a more imaginative way. This is what gives us dreams, and it is in our dreams that the movie of our lives are really written. The main purpose I took away from our conversation yesterday is to make visible the invisible... We struggle as artists, poets, creators in general to educate and elucidate our viewers minds, and I believe it is about time that we break through consciousness and introduce the world to the mind's eye vision of the world. The previous post is a replica of an Assyrian God sculpture that was blown up to a really large scale. This is the kind of stuff that I would like to see more of...Lets bring back the God's of the ancient age and bring them into a 21st century context. Let's think larger than anyone can...Let's recreate ancient rituals...Let's open up the mind's eye, it's been closed for way to long. Perhaps my post may be a little too urgent, but I feel strongly that time is running out!!! Lets awake the human mind and see what we're all made of, It's a contagious feeling once creation spreads into a collaborative effort. I think that's what we're trying to do; Collaborative creation. Lets do it!!!

Ideas from a convo with Ross
Daily Care for kids of all ages for as long as they need, more than just after school programs, Life programs. Safe place for people to come and feel welcome which their outside lives may not provide. Long term shelters and foster care may have to become an option when a parent dumps a child on our doorstep. The parent may be lost but atleast the child is saved. Associate with schools from pre-k to community colleges and universities. Provide forums for kids and parents to interact and learn together as well as on their own. Teach parenting to adults who seek advice and enable them with the skills to become better assets to their children. Provide job training for unemployed and workshops to enable workers to refine thier skills. Rehabilitation programs for those who are truely ready to change thier lives for the better. Provide the life necessities that are currently lacking in the system. Comfortable shoes and warm weather clothes for members. Community service is a must for members in any way possible. Specialized mentors who can help mold the youth and teach adults in specific areas of interest. Stress relationships and helping one another over materialism. Advocate individualism as a source of free expression to fight hate and racism and other forms of degredation.
Ross's Additions:

Set up a program where college grads can come and mentor children, offer homework help, perhaps even provide more advanced school development....Also offer children the ability to be creative by giving them supplies and materials to express their emotions.
Another idea was to partner up with existing non-profits like the boys and girls club and possibly local community libraries so that we can expand our impact and not carry all the weight of responsibility, at least in the short term. Basically, kids are just looking for a place where they can chill after school and not feel burdened and pressured like they are at school. But the key aspect that we're trying to promote is to make the future generation into social entrepreneurs with the mindset and tools to make a better community for the future.
